Replaced right hepatic artery in cadaveric specimen

Alasdair Ford

Classically, the right hepatic artery is a terminal branch of the common hepatic artery. This case report identifies and describes the course of a variant replaced right hepatic artery originating from the coeliac trunk, which was discovered on cadaveric dissection. Knowledge of aberrant hepatic vasculature is essential not only for liver transplant surgeons but also for general surgeons and radiologists.
