A 38 year-old woman presented to our institution with previable Prelabor
Rupture Of Membranes (PROM). She desired expectant management
at home but represented several hours later with metabolic acidemia,
leukocytosis, and Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). She
underwent a Dilation and Evacuation (D&E) complicated by hemorrhage
necessitating a hysterectomy and several hundred units of blood products.
